2006 Club Car gas gauge not working
The gauge never moves much. It stays below 1/4 even when the tank is full. I was wondering if there is something I could test for. I haven't done much investigating. I didn't think about it much until I ran out of gas.

Re: 2006 Club Car gas gauge not working
The sending unit in the tank just reads resistance to ground so if you remove the (power)wire from the sending unit and touch it to ground away from the gas tank the gauge should go max full.
If it does then your tank unit is bad. If it doesn't then you have an issue with your gauge or wiring circuit. |

Re: 2006 Club Car gas gauge not working
I'm thinking it may either be the sending unit or wiring. I disconnected the power wire (which is orange, may have been red at some point) The gauge went to full. When I reconnect the power wire the gauge moves. If I wiggle the wire the gauge will move but never above 1/4.
