I just use a 3 jaw puller to put some tension on it and give it a little love tap with a mallet. Pops right off.
You can do the same with a couple pry bars but a puller is better. If you don’t own one you can rent one for free from an auto parts store. Get the biggest one they have |

Thanks guys. I'm hoping the key is actually sheared. I've checked almost everything else and the cart has a fair amount of new parts that were put in chasing this.
Judging by the pics I've seen of the flywheel magnet position at TDC, mine is off (or at least very early)... |
