Removing the Wheels Off MY Ezgo
I am having an issue with my lifted ez-go. Each time i hit a bump the wheels shake really bad. When i got home from my last ride i pushed/pulled on the front tires and they feel loose, which i think is causing my problem. I pulled the cap off the wheels to see if i could tighten the lugs...however when i looked inside the wheel it looks like there are four sockets over the lugs, rather than just a lug.
Has anyone seen this? If so how to I remove/tighten the lugs? I'd be happy to post pictures if i can figure it out. If that isn't the issue with the wheels wobbling after hitting a bump I don't know where i should look next. Thank you in advance |

Most good tire shops should be able to sell you a tool to fit into that socket. Common on cars but there are several different types.
Also, it could be the front wheel bearings that are loose, not the lug nuts. |

Re: Removing the Wheels Off MY Ezgo
Thank you! Maybe this weekend I can make a run to autozone and see if they have something to fit that socket...I have never seen that before.
The front wheels bearings? If i were to remove the front wheels will there be somewhere that i might be able to tighten the bearings? Thanks again. |

Re: Removing the Wheels Off MY Ezgo
Section "G" in the Service Manual tells you how to service front wheel bearings, among other things.
Might be camera angle, but the wheel does look off center slightly. |

Re: Removing the Wheels Off MY Ezgo
Thanks! I'll be sure to look it up today...I need to borrow a floor jack to lift it up to service everything. It used to not be so bad...but if i am moving down the road and hit any little bump the wheels go out of control until i slow down...i am hoping just to be able to snug everything up.
