Default Slow cart for a 15 minutes

Yesterday I cleaned some of the Baja sand off of my cart, including the batteries. Got in and floored it with wife aboard. Seemed a little slow. The voltage meter showed 35 volts instead of 33 volts under full acceleration. I was going app. 17 instead of app 24. Stopped and checked the battery cables to see if loose or hot. They were neither. Another 15 minutes and I was back to normal speed. Was it the wet batteries. This has never happened before.

I'm more inclined to believe it was a wet controller or throttle box, but I might be wrong.

My guess, and that's all we can do... is that you poured water on the reverse micro and that completed the 1/2 speed reverse circuit until the switch dried out.

ALWAYS dry the cart's electronics off immediately after hosing off the batteries. A leaf blower works good

It's best when washing off batteries to use a low water volume and to cover the electronics so they don't get wet! Like Scotty said, if they do get wet, dry them off immediately! I'm lucky, because in my cart, I can flop a rubber floor mat over all the electronics at once!
