You can charge the batteries two at a time with a 12v charger. After that, the pack should be above minimum voltage and the 36v charger should kick on. A 36v battery pack won't even feel a tickle from an automobile alternator.

yes another way it can be done is using a 12 volt trickle charger...you simply hook the positive from the charger to 1 battery...then hook the negative up to the battery directly beside it in the series..., leave it hooked up charging on a low amp for about 6 hours or so...then move the charger to the next two batteries over until all have been charged...another way is to get a cart of the same voltage and hook up jumper cables connecting the main positives together, and then connecting the main negatives together...plug in charger for about 10-15 mins, then take off negative and see if charger stays on...if not repeat process until it does....good luck

All I have is the charger that came with the cart and the batteries. Is there any way I can get the charger to work without using another cart or 12v chargers?
