2001 Workhorse sluggish engine
New to the site. I have a 2000 or 2001 workhorse with a 350. The reason for the unknown year is there is no serial tag. Either way I think most components should be the same.
One day it died, and after cleaning up the carb and messing with the carb settings I got it to run, but sluggishly. I see a lot of people mentioning a valve adjustment, but i'm not sure the specs it should be adjusted to. Anyone know? Additionally, when I researched my carb online, most models have two small vacuum hoses coming off the left side of the carb. I had no hoses, but just the metal "posts" that the hoses would connect to. I used small caps and found that if the upper vacuum hole is capped it runs the best (but not perfectly). Where should hoses connect to, and will running this long term with one port capped be advisable? Additionally additionally, I want to get a CA green sticker for my cart but need a serial tag. I found a guy who will give me tag for a 2000 EZGO (non-workhorse). Anyone know if the CHP or DMV will know the difference/have a problem with this? Thanks!! |
