Plug wire??? 83 gas
Ok got the cart running, but not well. I cleaned the plug and in doing so noticed that the coil end was loose. Well it was just a bit of stripped wire shuved in there. Now the coil has a peg in it. What kind of end should be on the wire?? What's the correct way to install the wire in the coil?

Re: Plug wire??? 83 gas
If it has a tapered stud with a sharp-point,and grooves on the sides, then get a plug-wire(6 or 7mm)from a auto-parts store and screw it into the coil,it will thread itself onto the stud. Then install a short straight boot over the wire at the coil.Hope this helps.

Re: Plug wire??? 83 gas
Thanks. I figured it out.
I cut a few inches off....it was too long anyways, and screwed it in. Runs nice!!! Problem now is the throttle switch broke. Always something huh. :) |
