Foot Pedal Starter Not Working
Today, I re-installed my rebuilt Robin EH350C engine in my 2002 Workhorse. I had it bored the first oversize (0.25mm), new pistons, rods, valves, etc. Before I pulled the engine two weeks or so ago, the foot starter was working fine. Today - IT DOESN'T! Nothing - the switch clicks but nothing else. I understand that things go wrong without notice, but this is the last thing I expected. No wires or any part of the switch was messed with over the last coupla' weeks, and I did the work in my garage so no water damage. I cleaned the battery terminal ends and battery posts.
The engine runs great. Plenty of power and starts a lot easier that than it did when the compression was low. I ran two wires off the solenoid and installed a temporary push button, but that ain't gonna' cut it for long. I have never pulled a start switch or cover plate under the bottom. What do I need to be extra careful doing? I would imagine Carts Plus has the parts if I need them. Can the switch itself be taken apart after I get it off? |
