custom front seat arm rest????

I am about done with my cart but i still have the ugly black plastic arm rests for the front seat on it. I talked to outback fabricators and they don't have anything for it. We can't be stuck with the factory plastic junk, can we???

We are thinking alike! I've looked for something like that as well. There has to be someone that is willing to fab something different....

i seen some cool arm rest with cup holders in one of the golfcart magizines but they dont advertise on here so not sure if i can mention there name, i am new to the site

I'm going to get the armrest w/ cup holders for the back seats. That's where my wife likes to ride and get sun... and my daughters sit up front. She wants her tequila and a place to set it.
But we are talking about the front seat. That black plastic sorta armrests, sorta bumpers to keep your butt from sliding out the side of the cart. Someone needs to make a replacement for that.

Just a thought here but I've been looking at mine also and a thought came to mind. Now I haven't tried it but I think it's do able. First remove the old plastic coating then buff the aluminum rest and I'm sure with time it will look like chrome. Then they make a liquid plastic you could dip the area to be coated by means of protecting the rest of the arm rest. With some time and not a bunch of $$$ I think you'll have what you want. Look for plastic dip in different colors at body shop supplies are maybe even the big box auto stores

The site I posted shows a set of 4. Two back and two front. Not much too the front, but are the only one's I been able to find.

Another option you could consider, but it would take some hunting.

I found these from an office chair that was being thrown away. They would have fit my cart perfectly if I didn't have a full fiberglass roof.

Search around for something that fits- the cushion can always be dyed to match and the arm can always be painted.
