oil pressure gauge
just curious if anyone runs an oil pressure gauge on there cart. I am looking to put one on mine but having trouble finding one that is 0-20psi on the face of the gauge. Does anyone really know how many pounds of pressure these 295-350 motors push? Thank for the help

Re: oil pressure gauge
I did read in a few other posts about someone wanting to install one ....they just put a "t" style fitting in the oil pressure sensor spot... putting the sensor in one hole and the manual gauge line in the other. (20-40) psi is what I read aswell

Re: oil pressure gauge
I have seen a guy with a worked over 295 that was pushing 60 psi. Unless you have the idiot light you don't really need the electric sensor. So just about any automotive guage would be fine.

Re: oil pressure gauge
here are a few pics of the way I hooked the new oil pressure gauge up at the motor, however in the pictures the "t" with the pressure line is facing forward. I had to change that during the install because the fan cover runs directly into the oil line so I just turned the "t" 180 degrees having the oil line facing to the rear of the engine and very lightly making a loop in the line to make it face forward following the wire off of the oil pressure sensor. I will try and post some pics when I get the "dash" done and the gauges installed.....I want oil psi and volts....its a gasser stroked 295cc robin....I am using the pressure sensor for a idiot light on the dash so if it loses pressure the light will come on
