1984 Ezgo 2pg Head Gasket
I did a Top End Overhaul last week, everything went great. ran thr cart for 4 days with out problems. On the 5th day I would not start. I checked the compression and it was at 90 lbs. I put the head bolts at 22 ftLBS . do I need to go higher?

Re: 1984 Ezgo 2pg Head Gasket
I got this from another site and wanted to post it here in case someone else might need it.
Tighten the cylinder securing nuts to 24-28 ft. lbs. torque. Install a new head gasket with the widest metal edge turned down against the cylinder. Position the head and install head bolts and tighten to 20-21 ft. lbs. torque. When installing head bolts, assure that the three tall head bolts match the holes in the motor mount. |

Re: 1984 Ezgo 2pg Head Gasket
Sounds correct but I have 17-18 on the head torque.
