1983 EZGO Oil Systems
Hello - AT the advise of several EZGO mechanics I removed the oil pump, capped it off so it would not suck air and mixed the fuel to 128:1. Runs good but Im concerned that when i removed it from the front of the engine fan a bit of oil came out that was lubricating the connection. Should I be concerned that this was oiling a barring or anything or is this normal? The cart is a 1983 EZGO with a EC25-2PG motor.

No. It wasn't oiling anything at the fan that needs to be oiled.
The crankshaft bearings are oiled internally by the fuel / oil mixture. I'm also thinking that if you had oil coming out at the drive connection, it's a good thing that you got rid of that pump before it completely failed. |

Re: 1983 EZGO Oil Systems
Hey Cart Around thanks for the input, got it off and capped and it's running great. Now it needs to burn off years of built up oil. I think the previous owner used motor oil instead of 2 cycle.
