Default 2001 ezgo rear end trouble

I have a 2001 ezgo gas txt and this weekend will driving on a real ruff dirt road my wife informed me the cart won't go as she was going up a small grade. The cart will start, the driven clutch turns, so does the shaft in rear end attached to the clutch but the rear tires don't turn. I checked to see if the right rear hub stripped out, but it checked out good. What I am looking for is any tip's on what I should check next or do. I know I will have to take out the rear end anyway but any help would be great. Send tips, open to try them.
Thanks!!!

Why just the right rear? Did you check the left hub?
Did you try shifting from fwd to rev? How does it feel when you shift it?

I have read that its the right side that will strip out the spline, but I will check the left side also. Shifting is fine not locked up, but I can spine driven clutch by hand very easy. open to more ideas.

You don't need to pull the hub to check it. Just jack up the rear and remove the wheels and the center caps from the hubs. Lock the brakes. Turn the secondary clutch. If you see the nut on the end of either axle turning, and the hub isn't, the hub is stripped.
If either of the splines are stripped, you will be able to turn the clutch with very little effort.

Thanks for the info Marathon, I did what you said and yes the driver side brake drum, the spline was gone. New one ordered, what a relief. I have to say again thanks, for the help.
