2007 EZGO PDS Will I Need a New Controller?
Hello all!
My first post... I used the search and didn't find an exact answer for my situation. I'm looking to buy a PDS with 14" tires with NO lift kit. Will the stock controller handle this setup? It does have the Freedom chip setup. Thanks in advance for any help/advice! |

Stock control is designed around loads generated by 2 passengers on 18 tall tires. Anything greater in terms of load or tire may cause the control to get too hot and terminate. This may take some time to happen depending upon several factors we don't have information about like terrain.

Very flat asphalt roads within a mobile home park. Located in southern California city...Hemet, CA.
Usage...maybe a total of one hour a week riding around the park. And play nine holes of golf once a week (executive length course). It is a 4 seat cart but only two people will be riding 98% of the time. It doesn't have a lift kit but the cart has been lowered by 1" in the front and 2" in the back using MadJax blocks. No worries. Since the cart is not lifted you are not asking much more than the stock set up would. Let me know if you want 22-24 mph top speed and more torque.

Yes 2 good option for PDS from Alltrax. DCS and XCT. Both give good performance. This cart is fun to upgrade because it gets about the greatest performance improvement for the smallest effort (investment) of any cart.
