Default Club Car Precedent Is Slow Uphill

I am the recent owner of a 2016 Precedent Club Car. The cart runs about 15-16mph except for uphill. It drops to 8-9mph uphill. Is this normal? How can i get more speed uphill?

Stock cart? Have you checked pack voltage a) at rest 12 hours after charge b) while cruising and c) while going up hill?

Get yourself a multimeter hooked up to the positive and negative terminals with the main cables attached and that will tell you the voltage of the overall pack. For an accurate number, it should sit for about twelve hours after the charger has been turned off or unplugged. That's your base pack voltage. Leave the multimeter hooked up and read it when you're under full acceleration, and that will give you the load voltage. When you go up the hill, and put more strain on the system, you'll get a third, even lower, reading. A good set of batteries will have far less drop than a tired set. If the set is tired, that may be the first step in fixing your problem before looking into new motors/controllers. A good idea is to install a permanent, cart mounted, digital gauge. https://www.cartsunlimited.net/battery-meters.html

And even if you bought new batteries, the uphill (steeper makes it worse) will slow the cart down. Its inherent...

So is this something that CC Precedents are known to do, slower uphill?

As the mime relates to, any cart will be. Although the RXV and AC carts are effected to a lessor degree just due to motor efficiency.

My cart (look at my signature) runs slower uphill and it is a mini-powerplant!
