Default Re: Rear stoplights and headlights come on when braking

Ok this has me stumped LOL, I have doubled checked wiring etc. This is what the wiring diagram shows.

3 wires from tail light, 4 wires from cart

1) negative wire
2) tail light wire
3) blinker and brake light wires connected together

When I press brake all blinker lights come on, when I swap the brake light and connect it with the tail light all four lights come on when I press the brake. It is when the wire from the brake is connected with any wire it makes it live and it powers all the lights it is connected to.

As a test I ran the 1. negative wire, 2. one wire for the blinker, 3. one wire for the tail light and then I connected the 4th wire from the brake switch to a separate stop light and everything all worked perfectly, it is like I need a tail light with 4 wires coming out of it and not 3, can I buy a tail/stop light with 4 wires to suit the ezgo, anyone got any ideas.

Just wondering if your blinkers flash the headlight? If yes then #2 and 3 are wrong & the blinker should be moved to #2
