Default Club Car or Ezgo ?

Hi

Right now l'm sold on buying a late model Precedent ( 08.5 or newer) but
I do not want to limit my option's.

It appears that there are more Ezgo's for sale then Club Cars which are
more expensI've.

Dollar for dollar year to year is the Club Car a better choice?

It will be used 80% of the time driving around a 55 & over community and
20% driving a total of 4 miles to a mall. All on paved cart paths so lifted
carts are not needed.

Thanks

Alan

All a matter of opinion. I myself am a die-hard e-z go fan because they are mechanic friendly and easy to upgrade. Club cars are known because of there aluminum frames which are great for the beach because the frames dont rust...however they still corrode so your really trading one vice for another and its difficult if the battery box collapses to get it welded because of this. Precedents are great carts and are perfect for street use as there speed off the line is fantastic and the seats are comfy. Either way, Club Car or E-Z Go enjoy the cart and have fun

I suggest you buy whichever one is most prevalent in your area, that way service and parts will be available and price should be slightly lower too. Do not get a series drive cart. If you get an ezgo, make it a PDS or an RXV for the street.

Thanks, sorry to say but I will not be near the ocean which l will miss. All that l really need is a reliable cart and close dealer to service it.

My downside is that l am anal about condition, it must be pristine but will pay the price. Can't buy a new one because then my wife will know what l spent on it. Hahaha!

Hi

I would have to say being in a 55 & over it will be price driven but l noticed
about a 50/50 percentage between the two.

Being that l will get a 4 seater it will not be used for golf. I plan on ordering
Your battery gauge unless it already has a good one.

Both carts are fine.

Thanks

I just bought my wife an 08 Ezgo PDS. It is a great little cart, fun and easy to drive. The Alltrax controller and cable upgrade has brought the cart up to 25mph on the street and it has tire spinning torque on the gravel drives if needed, all on 36 volts. The digital meter is already installed in it, and looks just like the one in my signature below.

Hi

Being that my wife will be using it 19mph would be overkill for sure. Plus my l will be teaching my grandson to drive on it, so in this case slower will be fine.

That is until they get the hang of it, then l will play.

Thanks

The PDS takes a $5 chip to reach 19mph. THe CC needs a $100 program code to reach the same speed, if you buy from a dealer you can negotiate that upgrade into the price.

Not much different than Ford vs. Chevy. Drive them both and see which feels more to your liking. I like the looks of the precedent but what sold me was the seats. I am 6'4" and the precedent seating position and leg area just felt better to me than ezgo or my old DS gasser.

Hi,

Just bought a 2009 CC Precedent, which I like very much, from local dealer .

It has fold-down rear seat and looks brand new. I have had it for 2 weeks now and everything works fine. The cost was only $2,850 delivered which I thougt was very good. He stocks these units.

Dealer is local here in SC and has been in business 12 years. They warant the unit for 60 days.

Overall I am very pleased with the Club Car!
