Question 1996 ezgo problem figured it out now need help

Have a 1996 ezgo I think it's a dcs 36 volt question is I can't get the solenoid to click unless I run from a ground on batt the cart works perfect what triggers the solenoid? The blue wire that triggers the solenoid isn't getting a ground any help would be greatly appreciated thanks a lot

Welcome to BGW!

If the blue wire goes to the controller, it is a DCS rather than a Series.

If there is a RUN/Tow switch on the controller cover it is definitely a DCS.

Sounds like you have a bad pedal switch in the pedal box under the floormat.

Check for voltage at Pin-5 on controller when pedal is pushed. (That is what tells the controller to energize the solenoid in a DCS cart)

Thanks for reply if have shocked voltage at the micro switch for the pedal it's sending fire what what should be going into the controller and also might sound stupid but what if I put another micro switch on the pedal so when it moves it activates the solenoid? It works like this but will it hurt anything?

You can run the cart like this, The circuit has failed in the controller but it is of no significance. You can run the Blue wire up to controller B- and get a constant supply of B- for your solenoid.
