Disc Brakes. Mechanical rear vs Hydraulic front?
They cost about the same and the install seems to require about the same amount of work.
I drive on paved streets only in a very hilly neighborhood. Which should I get? Thanks |

Re: Disc Brakes. Mechanical rear vs Hydraulic front?
Due to weight transfer upon braking, front bakes are more effective at speed. Hydraulic brakes typically cost more to implement, but are usually better.

Re: Disc Brakes. Mechanical rear vs Hydraulic front?
I installed hydraulic front and rear. Stops very well. Mechanically speaking it was a challenge and a learning experience. But I do believe in the long run it was worth it.

I did hydraulic discs up front on my rxv. I love them. Super easy to install.

I ordered the Jake's front kit. Any install tips not covered in the instructions?
Thanks |
