Candy Cane Roof Supports
I have an EZ GO TXT with a lift and rear fold down seats. The rear roof supports have broken...again. They've been welded once. Yeah, my kids run it through some rough terrain in the field quite a bit. It takes a beating. Anyway, when looking online, all the candy cane style supports say for extended roofs only. Mine is the standard 54" roof. Will these still work? They seem to be longer than my current ones also. Mine are 38" long. Any info is appreciated. Thanks!

Re: Candy Cane Roof Supports
I'm not familiar with candy cane supports or back seats, are they special or are you looking for stock supports? I have a pair of nice stock ones for free if you want to make the drive, I'm in Brooklyn, Mi.

Re: Candy Cane Roof Supports
I believe the extended supports are not only a different length, but are angled to be installed with the top leg pointing rearward instead of toward the front, like stock.

Re: Candy Cane Roof Supports
If they've been welded once, and broken (again) due to terrain conditions, I'd consider just buying some round stock and a pipe bender, and making your own. You could get some heavy duty stuff and never have to worry about it breaking again. I bought a 10' piece of 1 1/4" (I think 1 1/4 anyway) steel pipe that is HEAVY duty for like 20 bucks at Lowe's to fix the frame in my Yamaha that had rusted apart. I only used about 6-8 inches of it, the rest just gets kicked around my shop now waiting for a purpose lol. It was WAY thicker than the factory frame tubing and cheap. Something like that would be cheaper and stronger than another factory candy cane, and even with the cost of a harbor freight pipe bender it would probably still be cheaper than OEM struts.
