No problem, dj. If ya don't ask ya gotta learn the hard way. On a gas cart that's how eyebrows get burned off. On a sparky cart doing the wrong thing can get REAL expensive, REAL quick.

Re: Wiring help Battery gauge
Hey guys, I'm trying to figure out how to connect an EZ-GO / Curtis battery gauge with three posts on the back. They are numbered 1, 2, and 4. Does anyone know how this should be wired? If it matters, I have a 2005 PDS. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

This might help a little with the diagrams. #1 red wire on the meter goes to the first batt in the pack (POS terminal). That is battery 1 in the below chart (fig D). #2 Black wire on meter goes at the end of the pack on NEG terminal (battery 6 on chart). #4 terminal on meter needs a jumper wire over to switch as shown. That will get you 36 volt and installed to factory specs. Check with a meter to be safe. ALSO, flip your run/tow switch to TOW before doing any electric work on your PDS. . . |
