Speed Chip Question
Greetings All, and Happy Holidays.
I am 1/2 owner of a 97 Club Car that is used weekly on the golf course. I am thinking that I need to sell my 1/2 and buy me a cart that I could spruce up a little and tinker with. I think after reading a lot on this great forum that I want to find an EZ GO PDS cart, and had a question about the speed chip that you can install. What I am interested in knowing is how much of an increase in speed would installing the speed chip result in. I don't know how fast a stock PDS cart runs, but our club car is not fast at all, but will run 45 holes without any problems, just not very fast. I don't need to set any speed records on the course, just would like something to run faster than what I currently have. Thanks for any information you could shed on this for me! I love this site, as you guys helped me diagnose and repair an OBC problem with the Club Car. |

Re: Speed Chip Question
Mike, thanks for the PROMPT reply!!! So a stock PDS with just the speed chip will run around 19 mph? That is probably a lot faster than what the old CC is going! I haven't checked it, but I bet that sucker isn't going over 12 mph.
Looks like I may be in the market soon for a used PDS! |

Re: Speed Chip Question
No comparison between the two. I see you're in NE Texas? Where?

Re: Speed Chip Question
Its probably a 36volt resistor car. They dont have enough power to pull your pants down.
