Re: Possible bad solenoid please help
when you installed the new solenoid, did you make sure the Diode was installed correctly (silver band towards the red wire)?

Re: Possible bad solenoid please help
OK new info....after some intensive voltage checking we found that we are loosing the voltage at the foot pedal switch. It is live from the blue down but dead coming back.
If we run power straight from the battery pack to the solenoid the controller get power and the cart moves. It was raining here so this was tested in doors so not sure how much the cart moves... ALso here is the bug question. The wiring diagram I was given lists it as a 1206 replacement....how do i tell if mine was a 1206 or a 1205? |

Re: Possible bad solenoid please help
TXT solenoid activation
Power starts on the White wire on the 36+ of the battery pack. Power travels to the charger receptacle, goes through a reed switch inside the receptacle and comes out on the red 12 gauge red wire. ( check for power here, 1st!) The red wire travels back through the loom to the Forward and reverse switch where it attaches to a micro. The other side of that micro has a blue wire attached that runs under the cart to the front and arrives at the keyswitch. The keyswitch then transfers power to a green wire which returns to the area of the Forward and Reverse switch. the power then goes through a 4 pin Molex connector and travels to the "pedal Box" (located under the floorboard of the car) where it goes through a micro and comes out on another red wire. That red wire comes back up to the Controller/F&R area where it once again goes through the 4 pin molex connector and continues on to the small post of the solenoid. That is the complete activation circuit. I would suggest going in reverse order and trace back where you lost the power to the activation circuit. More than likely something came disconnected while you were moving wiring. |

Re: Possible bad solenoid please help
Traced everything and it ended up being the micro cwitch for the foot pedal.
Runs like a demon now......bounces between 16-17 on flat hard surface but has enough torque to ride a wheelie. UNBELIEVABLE. One last question though.....why is my back up beeper so **** loud and screechy now? |

Re: Possible bad solenoid please help
Because they want everyone to know you are backing up..... I have actually seen people change them out to musical horns before just to make it pleasant to hear.....

Re: Possible bad solenoid please help
The beeper changed from a continuous loud buzz before my upgrades to a now intermittant SCREECH. This doesnt seem normal

Re: Possible bad solenoid please help
When you upgraded to the HD F&R it came with a new reverse buzzer... I have no idea why but the manufacturers have all decided that the "warble" of the new reverse buzzers is "safer".......
