Re: Speed
You say it has a lift, but has it got larger diameter tires or are they stock too?
Lifted isn't going to make a cart go faster. If nothing is changed except a lift kit, your speed should be the same. It will go a very little bit faster on level ground if you have larger tire diameter. The answer also depends on the condition of your batteries. A lifted "show cart" won't go very fast if the heart of the cart, the batteries, are old and worn out. A stock 36v EZ-GO is about a 12-14 mph vehicle. If it's a PDS and you have a speed chip installed, you might get another 3-4 mph out of it, again, with good batteries. Some of these cart experts around here will tell you more with more info. Hope this little bit helps. |

Re: Speed
Randy gave you the info you need. If you want to go faster it will cost you, upgraded wires, controller, motor, how fast do you want to go?

Re: Speed
You can expect a 2-3 mph increase with a 22-23" tire on flat ground. Expect a 2-3 mph decrease on hills due to loss of torque with stock controller etc.

Re: Speed
thanks for the info. it is a lifted stock cart with fairly good batt. but the wires may help, also if I do a good clean job on the conections, also the charger is powerwise hat does not keep the batts toped off.

Re: Speed
A set of 4 gauge wires will help out the controller and help keep things cooler. Plus it let the cart operate more efficiently.

Re: Speed
That is right, the powerwise is a battery charger not a maintainer.

Re: Speed
you just need to charge it when you use it. the powerwise charger is a great charger it charges the batteries up to the correct voltage and then shuts itself off. a battery maintainer will stay on all the time and keep the batteries at a certain voltage.
just charge it, use it and when you are done put it back on charge. when the charger decides to shut off, then your batteries are full. |
