Cool, that's what I thought but wanted you to confirm... Then you have it right, the light blue wire goes on the side the silver stripe of the diode which is the same side that goes to the battery. The dark blue with white stripe goes on the other side.

Dracor,

Look at this picture... Granted this is on the cart that had a fire but it this is the best picture I have at the moment to help you with your questions.

There are 5 circles of different color...

Wire in RED circle... coming from the positive side of the battery pack.
Wire with Yellow circle.... going to the Controller
Small wire with Light blue circle.... light blue wire from harness
Small wire with dark blue circle.... dark blue and white wire from harness.
Silver circle.... the silver side of the diode...

And yes you have to cut off the existing spade terminals from the small wires and crimp on ring terminals.

And.... On the large wire where the Red circle is, there will also be a small red wire that goes on the same post, the ring terminal on that one is not going fit over the larger 3/8" post, so you'll need to change that ring terminal too...

How is your acceleration now? Will it burn some rubber and/or throw some grass into the air????

when i installed my DCX500 on a 2005 club car precedent i managed to adjust settings to have gravel FLY and throw heads back. (stock motor)

But had to reduce take off speed cause the wife couldn't control and bitched.

still i had my max output only set to 400 amps while all this was taking place.

even with slow takeoff and 400 amp max setting the cart will do 23-24mph.
( thats after installing a custom THROTTLE CURVE FILE from alltrax-otherwise the throttle only goes 95%)

so here is my question .......what settings are you using and what motor do do you have

So Bruce, Do you think I'm wasting money going for a DCX500, when a 400 will do? I don't need or want anymore speed, I just want to spin tires

Alltrax,Alltrax,Alltrax

I have posted numerous times asking about the GE controllers and I get no response. I can get a GE 500Amp Peak 600Amp controller new for $356 plus shipping out of FL. Does anybody know anything about the GE Controllers? Are they junk? You can adjust the output with a turn of a screw. I can also get a 700Amp peak 800Amp for about $445.

Any thoughts or input would help.

Thanks,
Steve
