Default Ezgo disaster

Hello all.
I have a parcar cart that I removed everything from because parts and info were to hard to find. I installed a curtis 1205-103 controller 36 volt batteries 36 volt solenoid and reused the36 volt motor. I believe I have everything wired correctly bu the issue I am having is when on stands it spins the tires but very slowly. When on the ground it does not move. I have full battery voltage 38.3 everywhere. Had the motor tested and it's good. When pressing accelerator I found 36 volts at a2 terminal then drops as I depress the throttle. At full throttle only 19 volts showing. I hooked a ground lead direct from pack to motor a2 and it the motor takes off. I am so lost can anyone help. thanks

Does cart have a Pot-Box (0-5kΩ) throttle or an EZGO ITS type throttle, and does the controller's throttle type match what is in cart?

Please post the schematic or wiring diagram you used to wire cart.

------------
Generic troubleshooting:
Connect DVM between controller's B- and M- terminals.
When pedal is pushed just far enough to make solenoid click, you should read full battery pack voltage (38.3V).

If so, slowly press pedal to floor and voltage ought to smoothly decrease to near Zero Volts.

Does it show that range as installed in the cart? Many times the rest of the throttle linkage limits the range of motion.

Could be a F&R contact. Might be worth removing the center pivot shaft and switch cam to have a look... assuming the motor is series not DCS.

The forward and reverse switch is new and the pot box was tested while installed. I've been scratching my head on this for a couple if weeks

Have you tested the motor? I had this symptom when my motor grenaded itself and was shorting. Not fixing it eventually shorted my controller also.

He mentioned it was a Parcar in Post#1 that he was trying to convert to EZGO.
