It has a 48v to 12v reducer built in, but I am not sure even where it is located. This is a whole new world to me and I do t want to go just poking around with out knowing what I am doing. I looked at the sticky for the wiring diagram but can't really tell much from it.

It should be mounted in the battery compartment against the back wall, possibly on the passenger side. It looks like a black box with two bundled wires going into it. 48v in, 12v out. The 48v in wires should have a third wire to enable it when the key is on.
