Help with Trojan T185 bought May 2014
star batteries.jpg I bought a cart with six t-875 8 volt batteries that are 11 months old. I charge the cart and it shuts off automatically. I start driving and I only get about 2 blocks and the battery gauge drops one bar. This is driving on flat pavement. By the time I drive there and back which is about 2 miles, the gauge is about halfway down. It just seems to me that 11 month old Trojan T-875 batteries should last a lot longer. I checked the voltage with a digital voltmeter and with a hydrometer on each individual and the whole pack. I tried to do a load test while driving but didn't have much luck because it was difficult to give the same throttle each time and look at the voltmeter. What do you think about these numbers? Thanks for the help. Scott

Sorry, it's a 2007 48 volt lifted Star cart with a curtis 400 amp controller with a 5.5 hp motor. It says 2 person on the serial number plate.
