Default What motor and controller yamaha drive

I have a 2012 yamaha drive it goes around 13 I'm looking for more torque and and some more speed. Around 20mph is fine and want enough power to climb hills and load in the toy hauler with no issues. I want it as simple as possible just something that is proven to work and last.

Depends on how much you want to spend. A dealer can change you PTV code to get 19 mph out of the stock motor / controller setup. You won't have a ton of hill climbing power tho. They charged me $50.

A new controller will run you around $500 give or take and will give you alot more for the hills. Not sure about the new motor costs. I have a 2009 with the speed code, lift and tires and she goes 19. slows down on the hills, but it is still faster than my friends. That's all that matters.

I have a stock 2012 Drive with high speed gears and it goes plenty fast. That is an option to consider too. It does limit your hill climbing - especially starting out on a hill.

My toy hauler ramp is very steep I would like to climb it without having to get a run at it.

Then you should install a new Altrax XCT controller. For all I have been reading that is the way to go.
