2000 Club Car - adding a back seat
Just bought a 2000 Club Car. This is my first cart and I have no experience in working on one. My cart is only a two-seater and I want to add a flip-up back seat. I see some for sale online but haven't quite figured out how to install it. Are they pretty universal? Is installation a big ordeal? Any advice for a newb on where/what to buy would be appreciated.

Jeff, welcome to BGW. You need to order a rear seat made for your cart specifically. Installation is pretty simple with a couple hand tools. Check out the site sponsor page and order away.

I have one on mine. It came installed but it looks pretty simple to put on. All i can see is like 8 or 10 bolts.

Rear seats aren't that bad if you have installed 30 or so and it is not that hard but from what I have found the instructions leave a lot to be desired and some bolts have to go in specific places yada yada.. You may want to go hit your local shops and see what they sell and how much for installed.. If outrageous do it yourself, if not it may be something to consider.. OR track down this crazy guy named Andy on the forum who goes down there all the time and maybe you could bribe him to help.. oh and I forgot hook is down there too..

Pretty simple install - I bought a Steeleng and it's pretty nice for the price and comes with new roof supports.

@alwhite00
Did the Steeleng brand push your front seat forward? I am having trouble figuring out which kit to purchase. I dont want to move my front seat any closer to my steering wheel. |

No, If anything it's back a little as the supports are thinner than the original aluminum extrusions.
