Is this the same Star cart you purchased for $500 and upgraded it with a 600 amp controller?

Check magnet and speed sensor. Solenoid can also cause the cart to run at 4MPH.

If you still have the Curtis controller in it, it will flash the amber light on the front of it and give out a code. If someone has a scan tool, that will tell you also.

I also have the same problem, 4mph, tons of power, will tow a cart up a hill at 4mph, but mine also goes 8mph in reverse, does this make sense? I will check solenoid and speed sensor and get back to anyone with the news. All wires are cleaned and tightened. Problem is, I can't find my cart on this site, it a 2009 72v Miles Truck 25mph max speed(when running properly) I drove it just fine at 25mph for 2 days until all the sudden the power just felt like it dropped and then 4mph I go.
