Yeah the Christmas tree type do their job, but I only use them when I may be missing a factory one. I actually think the rivets in the floor mat are a much bigger pain. Even when you get a flathead under it tends to crack them. As for the two access panel ones, I pry it up with a screwdriver, then take my small locking pliers and pull the whole thing out. You can pull it out with your fingers sometimes, but it doesn't feel nice

we use a plastic pry bar to insert and shake the access panel or bagwell up and down for several times. then shake the rivets the same way until it is out...

For the Christmas tree type I use a pair of dikes and cut the head off, remove the panel the poke the rest of it thru the hole.

I replaced the service cover with some clips and black phillips screws that look good. not the same exact as this pic but similar. Makes it easy to take on and off.

My favorite tool for all Yamaha "reusable rivet" type things & Christmas trees. Has a narrow head to get into small spaces.

A small screwdriver works fine for me to pry up the center section of these reusable rivits on my G29. I have had the bagwell outy several times - no sweat.

I had the wrong rivets on my cart, so I had to basically destroy all of them in order to get the body off this weekend.

Here is a link to the tool that will allow you to pull all the Yamaha factory rivets with ease and reuse them. No scratches on paint due to rubber ball leverage.

Can anyone list the OEM part numbers (or generic replacements) for the different rivets found on a 2014 G29 Drive and the location of where they go on the cart body? My carts rivets were replaced with christmas tree rivets before I bought it. I took apart the cart and now I want to re-assemble with the correct rivets.

Also, when I took off my wheels and tires to install my lift I noticed there were no cotter pins in my assembly. Can anyone tell me the OEM part number (or generic replacements) for those?

The factory plastic reusable rivets I love. Never have an issue, whether its the floor mat or the access panel. I hate it when rebuilders take the good ones out and put Christmas tree ones in. I'm surprised so many have issues with these things as I just pull the center out and pull out the middle section. Simple and works well
