G29 tow switch troubleshooting
First time poster, I have searched but can’t see a previous thread.
I have a 2014 G29e that runs well, does not appear to have any issues other than that the tow/run switch does not work. I have replaced the switch with no result. Anyone with a fix or workaround if the cart needs towing? |

Re: G29 tow switch troubleshooting
If you disconnect the wire from the tow switch, does it go into tow mode? It should! It's just a simple switch.

A more common problem is accessories that have been added and wired incorrectly or leak enough voltage to keep the controller alive. USB ports are good for this. |

Re: G29 tow switch troubleshooting
Unfortunately no go after disconnecting switch. There are no accessories fitted, completely stock.

Re: G29 tow switch troubleshooting
The tow/run switch is open in the "tow" position and closed in the "run" position. If you disconnected one of the wires, you opened the circuit, the same as the tow position on the switch. As unlikely as it seems, you have 2 faulty switches. Check the switches for continuity with an ohm meter.

Re: G29 tow switch troubleshooting
IF the cart runs with a wire removed from the run'tow switch, there is a wiring error somewhere in the cart. (or a faulty controller)

Re: G29 tow switch troubleshooting
True but thats not the case. Read his response to my post again. He confirms that when he disconnects a wire from the switch, the car stops...as it should.
