Yamaha G2 electric Accelerates when put in gear
I have a 1985 ish Yamaha Electric cart g2? It has the resistor Coil. Anyhow when you put it in Forward or Reverse the cart starts moving Slowly without hitting the throttle. If I just sit there parked with my foot on the brake the resistor coil will get extremely hot so you have to shift to neutral to stop. Any ideas? Im not very good with electrical but have a volt meter. Thank you

You have either a screwed up throttle or a stuck closed solenoid. Get a wiring diagram and start troubleshooting.
