Smell gas after governor adjustment
Hello all. I had the governor adjusted on my ez go sport st II. Now I can smell gas pretty strong while driving it and also lost some low end power. Anyone know why? Thanks in advance.

Re: Smell gas after governor adjustment
Were you going for more top end? You may have gone a little too far. I would re adjust it to original spec and see if that corrects it. make small adjustments to the governor or you risk throwing the throttle cable out of whack.

Re: Smell gas after governor adjustment
They adjusted it so that its going about 19 mph according to gps. I guess these just are not made to go that speed?

Re: Smell gas after governor adjustment
Ok, I'm not sure if it was the throttle cable I adjusted as I'm definitely no mechanic. The cable is not far from the governor adjustment. Anyway after adjusting it the response when pressing the gas got better but the cart went 26 mph. So I turned it back down till it was around 20 mph.

Re: Smell gas after governor adjustment
cool. you may want to check in the service manual in the tech section and follow the instructions for making that adjustment. Sounds like you are on the right track though.

Re: Smell gas after governor adjustment
the throttle and governor are sort of a hand in hand thing. you gotta get em both right.
