Default clutch not working,i think

ez-go gas cart with a robin 2-cylinder,new belt and the cart won't move,don't these have a torque- belt drive like ago-cart, if so, should the cluth be moving in and out to chage the gear ratio? cause it ain't

take the belt off and run the engine. You should see the front clutch close.

sounds like its stuck. you can remove it then try to disassemble the thing to check it out but I never could get mine apart. I replaced it with another used one. what year is the cart?

not sure but the model# is A2896, maybe it is a 1996 but thanks for the info

finally got back, got the clutch unstuck, moves nice and free, but i think the engine is so wore out there's not enough torque to move the, clutch so what is the most simple and cheapest engine to replace original engine with? thanks for any help

This isn't reading right, how free is the clutch on the shaft, what is the compresion of the engine?

clutch moves very free on shaft, don't know what the compression is, don't have that tool,but i know my dad was constantly cleaning plugs cause of oil fouled and if its like anything else he had, its wore out
