I agree with all that has been said here. But I believe the original question was about a sudden problem, "the cart just died on them" was the comment. I agree the compression is low and the performance would suffer, but why did it suddenly die. Is the gas tank vent cap working properly? I would hate to have that happen again after the rebuild. Just a thought. nomo

Check the basics, spark and fuel you know it has enough compression to start at least.It may not run well but it should run..
