EZGO Gas Radio Install - Ovehead
Got the radio install almost completed. Bought a Kenwood KMR-330 head unit off ebay and got some Vidsonix motorcycle speakers directly from Vidsonix. Installed the head unit overhead in what was called an under dash radio mount that I picked up at Pep boys. I ran the speaker and power wires inside the frame of the roof mounts.
Here are some pictures. not great because they were from my phone. Overall I pretty happy with the sound. for their size the speaker put out some good sound. |

Re: EZGO Gas Radio Install - Ovehead
thanks.
I guess I should have told you that I was seriously considering the ball holder but I couldn't get it to work right. the back of the radio would hit on the cowl and the unit would not go in far enough. I also don't have a windshield and the unit could get wet there in the rain. As you can see from the picture I haven't done anything with the antenna yet. Where have others mounted it? For the antenna you could get one of those flat tape style. they peel n stick tape across the top of auto windshields.
You could do the same thing but just tape/stick it across the back horizonal section of your roof support bar. |

I picked up one from Autzone that is self amplified, you could possibly attach to the back of your radio enclosure.
