Default Battery

I was just wondering, I have a G2 gas yamaha and I don't know if the battery in my rig is the correct one. What type of battery do you have in yours?

I prefer the Optima yellow tops, but they are a bit pricey. Pretty much any 12V car batt is fine. I recommend at least 650CCA.

Are you having issues starting it or something? What do you have in there now?

Yes I am having trouble getting it started, I bought it near my home, so I drove it home and then it sat for a few months, I started cleaning it up and repainting some of the parts and when i tried to drive off in it, it wouldn't start and hasn't started since. I haven't had time to dig in deep yet but I'm going to start soon. IT clicks, but doesn't do much more. I do have a car battery (the person i bought it from put in a new battery just before I bought it) so I thought I'd ask. I know it's a 12 volt car battery, just not sure of much more about it.

If you have and can use a voltmeter....check the sticky above.."so your cart won't start". It basicly walks you thru the test procedures. Good luck dave
