Body fiberglass or plastic? (pics)
This is a 1991 but not sure if the body's been replaced over the years.
I need to make some repairs, stress cracks in corners and what looks like battery acid damage, probably be using epoxy resin and fiberglass mat. This body doesn't look like it has any glass mat structure, I see just a hint of what looks it could be glass fibers, so I'm thinking this may be a plastic type body? |

Looks like the old fiberglass body with the add-on fender flares. The Plastic bodies had rear wheel flare molded into them... maybe you could just find a newer plastic body?

I was hoping to see "gorilla hair" (sometimes called) on the underside, where you actually see unfinished mat rovings, that stuff is super strong. Here's a pic of the fender trim that was attached with those plastic one time use push posts, they looked kinda factory on there.
thanks for the reply, This is what I have to work with, around here it seems everyone wants 100's of dollars for a used body that I would have to redo anyhow. |

That is a glass body for sure. Do some checking you may be surprised at what you can find. Before x mas a local cc dealer here was blowing out factory rear bodys for $200
