upgrade speed/torque?

Yes, the motor is not the main issue, it is the controller.

The stock controller doesnt have enough amps for the larger tires and replacing with a stock unit will burn up just as fast. You must have atleast 400 AMPS IN THE pds CARTS FOR ANYTHING OVER 20". 20" is the max for the stock controller and that can be to much if used hard off road.
