08 Drive- making it mine
I got an 08 Drive last week and I’m working on making it all mine. It was stock when I got her, but I’ve made some progress... or I feel I have being today is week since I picked her up. First, I did the usual… lift, rear seat, wheels and tires, windshield and rearview mirror. Tuesday I removed the body… WOW wait a pain the butt that was. I had no idea it was going to be so hard. Those dang push in rivets were everywhere!!! Some were like hidden under others and etc. I broke almost every one of them because I was frustrated and didn’t have the correct tool I guess (screwdriver and pliers don’t work that well). I’m not a very patient man, but I’m usually a perfectionist so those two traits don’t always work well together. I’m off to the local cart shop today to pick up new rivets and seat cover. Hope to have it back together tonight!

It's like the body disapears into the landscape
Looks great BB If your lights are grounded (anything is) to the frame, you'll blow the main 10a fuse. Dont ground anything to the frame on Yami's. Home run a ground wire back to the negative on the battery. |

Re: 08 Drive- making it mine
The prob with the lights is usually the black harness plug right beside the tow/run switch...this usually gets hit or knocked loose taking the body off, putting back on...if not check switch wiring...cart looks great!

Re: 08 Drive- making it mine
Thanks for the help and compliments. I think I need to check around the body to make sure a wire didn’t get pinched when I was putting it back on. They worked for a bit yesterday… all but one of the little amber lights on the front. It’s got me puzzled, but I have a buddy that’s an electrician so him and I are going to think about it while we consume some cold ones tonight. Did the steering wheel today and put the Yamaha sticker back on.
