That's what I came up with too....jumping from the current 16/17mph up to 24/25mph.

I will be impressed that's for sure....if it actually works:-)

Heck, I'm already hitting 25+ witth the 18" wheels. I figure with the 25s I'll be around 30 or so. The motor will max out on power at some point. I'll just be happy to run at 25 with lower rpms.

What have you done to the engine to get it up to 25mph with 18" wheels?

To be honest, I'm pretty sure... I don't want to know!
It's difficult to get a stock FE290 w/22" tires to go 22 MPH without over revving the engine! (been there, done that!)

I have 25's, an FE350, and a number of other goodies on my cart to get it to 32 MPH... and THAT'S pushing it!

I just can't imagine what a stock engine feels like when over revving!

I will be content if the new 25's I put on (whenever the stupid lift kit gets here) actually provide some significant increase in speed to the 22 or even 23mph mark. At least I will be content for a little while til that gets old:-)

I ziptied the governor so its basically maxed and it gets up to 16/17 then it kicks down...which is annoying. I tried and removed the rev limiter and it would hold steady at about 17 mph but wouldn't go any faster but I could hear the engine pushing....I don't have a tachometer...and it seemed pointless with regards to speed increase... So I just reattached the rev limiter to avoid overdoing it...now I am just putting up with the kick down at 16/17 mph.

I don't know what to tell ya....

I'm no cart expert but have been in and around a few motors. I can get 22+ with the limiter on. turn it off and 25 is doable. No nasty sounds from the motor. Been running it that way for a long time. Usually keep it down to low 20s. Maybe it came with high speed gears already in it???

WOW....What a difference!!!

Barely push the gas and gets 20mph easy:-)

Pushed it to 21 and 22.....but I gotta get used to the way it drives before I push it further.

Here's how it came out (The old 18" tire sitting there for reference):
