gas club noise when coasting
I'm looking at a 84 club car and it make a squealing noise in the rear end going down hill in neutral? is this normal or is some thing wrong?

My '87 does that. Coasting down a hill in neutral isn't something I do very often but yes, when these carts are in neutral they'll make a low squeal like the one you describe. I'm 100% not sure what it is, but it's probably just the driven clutch sheaves coasting up against the sides of the un-tensioned drive belt while you're in neutral. It wouldn't hurt to check the rear end oil, but I wouldn't suspect the rear end is dry based on the neutral squeal.
