Default Yammy G14 electrical problem

replaced the controller and now cart only moves at a slow crawl. It is an AXE 4844 Controller, 400 amp.

You most likely have a throttle calibration issue. Jack the back up, so the cart cant move. Check for full throttle by pressing the gas pedal to the floor and watching the led on the controller to see if it turns from green to yellow/orange. Also, try unplugging pin 4 on the controller (1/2 speed reverse) to see if that wire is hot all the time, causing the controller to always think its in reverse.

I depressed the accelerator and the green LED light came on then off and right back on and stayed green. The wheels still moved real slow, about 1 revolution per 2 seconds.

Yep, throttle problem. What color wires are currently connected to pins 2 and 3 (three choices are green, blue, and white i believe).

Wire colors don't mean a whole lot in this cart as it has been under the care of a number of shade tree mechanics before I got it. The cart ran wired the way it was and I wired it back up the same way with the new controller. I changed the controller because it was really corroded and the cart was lunging when you accelerated until it finally wouldn't go at all. I also replaced the diodes.

You need to program the alltrax to recognize the "0-1k" throttle. Get a gigaware/radio shack usb to serial adapter (cheap, 15$), download the free alltrax software, and add your laptop = "happy time"

Thanks cgtech, that did the trick. If anyone else has this problem they should go to the Alltrax website for for all the info on how to program or upgrade there controllers.
