2004 yamaha g22 thermal overload
New here and new to this yamaha. As far as iknow it has a stock motor with a 500 amp contoller .no lift yet. My problem seems to be when I ride off road and puts around the controller and motor get hot and shut down until they cool .I have run 10 plus miles on the open roas with no problem. I hav read a little on here about upgrading the wire on the obc but im not sure this is thre problem. Batteries are 1 year old Trojan and seem to work very well.any help is appreciated thanks

Re: 2004 yamaha g22 thermal overload
OBC is a club car part, if you find one on a yamaha, question who put it there. The GE 500 FX controllers are prone to heat problems. You did not specify what brand of controller you have.
