48 volt charger sparks
I have a 48 volt charger for my Yamaha. It is not a Yamaha chager (see attached pic).
All of a sudden when I put the charger in to charge at the outlet where the cord plugs in (bottom left of the picture) spark/fire comes out which damages the end of the cord. Obviously this is dangerous and not I am not charging but any advice on the likely cause. Could it be the table plugging in to the charger or is it likely to be something else? thanking you Spiro |

Re: 48 volt charger sparks
Picture looks like it is not for US market (says 230v 50hz, dont see anything about 120v 60hz). Open case and look for loose/damaged wiring. Where are you? Wiring often overheats/breaks at the relay inside the charger.

Re: 48 volt charger sparks
Yep, 4 or 5 phillips screws on each side. Look inside for physically damaged/burned wires.
