Type of transaxle oil
I'm new to Yamaha carts and was wondering what type of gear oil to use in the rear end and how much for a 1997 G19? Looks like the cart I'm working is going to need the input shaft kit.
Thanks! |

Re: Type of transaxle oil
Regular gear oil (gl-5) will be fine, i think 305cc is the quantity you need. I like to mix in some lucas oil stabilizer too, less than 50% lucas. Lucas will help keep noise to a minimum. Too much lucas will result in air frothing, like whipped honey, im pretty sure loads of air bubbles dont protect as well.
