Whistle while it works
Being new to the electric side, I hope I don't ask too much dumb questions, but here goes.
I've noticed when I put the pedal down asking for more power, and again when going up a big hill and asking for power, I hear a whistling sound coming from behind me, I assume near the motor. The whistling sound lasts much longer during the climb up the long steep hill, which makes sense because it is under load longer. Now if hard work made my motor happy so it whistles that would be fine, but I'm guessing that's not it. So is this anything important, or just one of those noises an electric cart makes. By the way I don't have my 19 mph upgrade yet from Yamaha, he's suppose to come out later this week and do that. He wanted to get me the cart so I'd have it for the weekend, but he didn't have the upgrade yet. But even without the upgrade, I've noticed I can make it up my big hill faster with this cart then I did with my gas powered workhorse. |
