99 ezgo clicks but will not go
The forward reverse switch was replaced and it has not run since. The batteries are new so is the solenoid and controller. I would appreciate any thoughts. The do not know how to get a diagram with volt readings to tet anything else. Thank you

Re: 99 ezgo clicks but will not go
The controller was changed out prior to me getting the cart. I have the other controller as well. Is there any way to test these controllers?

the first thing we would need to know is what drive system you have.....if you don't know (click on the picture to enlarge it).....look at the diagram below and tell us what you have.

Re: 99 ezgo clicks but will not go
If the solenoid is clicking in F&R direction then the F&R micro switches are ok.
What type of controller are you using? |

Here is the diagram for your cart.
Use a DVM to determine if there is (+) power at all points on the red lines. |

Re: 99 ezgo clicks but will not go
Ok I have run a volt check at the forward reverse switch I have power all the time on bottom terminal. No power on top terminal. When in reverse power reads on both side terminals. When in forward power doesn't read on either side terminal. What should I do is that correct.

Re: 99 ezgo clicks but will not go
In this drive system (DCS) there is typically a large silver rotating F&R disc with a micro switch on each side.
The micro switches activate the solenoid and signal the controller which direction you want to go. The 2 switches should have a common power source. Then depending upon the position of the rotary piece. Switch forward or reverse should make a connection..... a simple ohms test will verify the switch is working if disconnected from the cart. Or a voltage test if connected and key on. The reed switch can be bypassed as shown below |
